Meet the practitioner

For 17 years I’ve practiced massage and bodywork, focusing primarily on the modalities of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and a healthy amount of Spiritual and Energy Work that includes Chinese, Celtic, and African schools of practice. I am a certified Master Reiki Practitioner of the Usui lineage, and continually strive to deepen my understanding and sensitivity to the work such skills require both in the physical realm of massage, and the spiritual realm of energy biodynamics.

As a visual artist and musician, I draw greatly from the intuitive insights gifted me through such vocations coupled with a deep technical knowledge of human anatomy and kinesiology. Combining the sensitivity and flow of the abstract mind with the structure and discipline of the logical mind has proven highly effective for my clients.

Balance, as we know, is essential after all.

“Seven Tailed Fox” a name inspired by the mystical quality of the number 7 and its connection to the 7 primary chakras (vortices that regulate the flow of life force energy in the body) as well as the “Kitsune” (KEET-soo-nay), a spiritual being popular in Japanese mythology, that presents as a celestial fox with multiple tails.

Foxes are known for their cleverness, adaptability, and cautious, yet playful (or mischievous, as you like it) demeanor. They exist in a space between the extroverted quality of the canine, and the introverted nature of the feline, yet biologically speaking, they are neither cat nor dog, and occupy their own branch on the tree of life. This speaks to me on many levels, as I have always been one who tends to exist in the liminal (in-between) spaces, which can be tricky for those who are used to defining their world through common stereotypes.

By embracing my uniqueness and expressing it with compassion and without compromise, I hope to inspire others toward the same ideal. With my massage and spiritual work, I aim to not only bring balance and peace to the bodies and minds of my clients, but also empowerment to their glorious, tenacious spirits.
